Hi, my name is Ruth  and I am a  qualified Cognitive Hypnotherapist. I am  trained in N.L.P ( Neuro Linguistic Programming),Hypnotherapy,Confident Childbirth, Ollie Training-specific fun NLP techniques for working with younger children, NLP for learning, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).EMI (Eye Movement Integration) Reiki ,Aromatherapy and Yoga. I trained with Trevor Silvester at the Quest Institute at Regents College and have insurance and membership with CTHA (Complementary Therapists Association) and am a member of the NCH (National Council for Hypnotherapy) .I chose to train in these areas as over many years of working as an Aromatherapist my clients would often discuss difficulties they were having and I dearly wanted to be able to be more proactive in helping them.

I deal with a wide range of issues  including ... childbirth, panic attacks, anxieties,   lack of confidence ,learning skills and exam stress,  phobias such as flying or fear of spiders ,weight loss and stopping smoking. I have worked with the M.E.Association on their "Rebuild your life" courses which have had great success in enabling those with M.E./C.F.S to cope and overcome many of the difficulties these conditions can present.

N.L.P –so what’s that all about?

Neuro is about your neurological system. N.L.P is based on the idea that we experience the world through our senses and translate this information into both conscious and unconscious thought processes. These processes activate our neurological system which then in turn affects our physiology, emotions and behaviour.

Linguistic refers to the way in which humans use language to make sense of the world. Using language we capture, conceptualise and communicate our experiences to ourselves and others.

Programming –your personal programming consists of your internal thinking patterns and processes. You use these to make decisions, solve problems, learn, evaluate and get results. N.L.P looks at this programming and can help you re-code your experience and organise your internal programming to get the outcomes you want.
